Use Cable 940-0024e (not 940-0274) cable to connect IBM AS400 to Smart 3000?

Can I use Cable 940-0024e to connect IBM AS/400 to Smart 3000 UPS?

I've read the guide https://www.schneider-electric.co.uk/en/faqs/index?page=content&id=FA159551&actp=search&viewlocale=e...

where it recommends using either 940-0274 or the 940-0031 (although 0031 is the better cable). 

I have an available 940-0024e cable which we use to connect to other servers with Powerchute.

Being both male-female 9-pin cables, what is the difference between the 2 cables (940-0024 vs 940-0274)?

Can I use 940-0024 in place of 940-0274 to connect the As/400?

Hi,

The 940-0024 cable is smart signalling and the 940-0274 cable is simple signalling designed specifically for use with IBM AS400.
