Universal I/O port not working: 0N-1557

I am having difficulty installing a temp sensor into my SmartUPS-5000. Whenever I plug the sensor in (Universal I/O port 1), it will show connected, and then immediately afterwards it disconnects. I've rebooting the NMC, but it stays down. On the Web-GUI onder the Universal I/O status page, the only thing listed is under "Output Relay". It has "Port 1 Relay" listed in the "Lost comm" state. Not sure if that means anything, but I don't see that on my other UPS

The NMC in the system is one of those embedded ones vs removable? Can you provide a picture of the back of the NMC and upload the same on the APC Forum.

Ensure the image is viewable on the forum.

Is the temperature sensor a AP9335T or AP9335TH temp / humidity sensor? Do you have another temperature sensor to check if the sensor is bad?

If you have another similar NMC in a UPS. What happens when you connect this specific temperature sensor into the other NMC?

Lastly, can you confirm what the NMC firmware is in both units.

The NMC is the embedded kind (0N-1557 model). I don't have a pic of my device, but this one I got from Schneider looks exactly the same

I'm using the AP9335TH temp sensor. I have another Smart-UPS-5000 in another cabinet, and I've tested the sensor in that one, so I know it works. When it connects, it will show under the "Temperature & Humidity" header on the "Universal I/O" tab. I've also tried a brand new sensor, with the same results

I'm not 100% sure how I can check the firmware on the NMC (unless its in the information I've posted, AOS, Application Module, etc.). There is this, but I think its the UPS firmware not the NMC

Firmware Revision
UPS 10.1 (ID1020)

RE: NMC firmware, just wanted to see if both units were on the same firmware as you posted up above (AOS / App). If you haven’t done so already I would consider three options from least invasive to the most invasive from:

Default the NMC via the internal web browser.

Firmware: Reload the same NMC firmware.

Format: This will erase all settings and reset the NMC to an OEM state.
