I recently tried to install PowerChute Personal version 3.1.0 on Windows 10 but the installation failed for some reason.
I tried to uninstall it from Windows Settings but this fails with the error "uninstall.exe cannot be found" and indeed the file is not present in the APC folder in the Program Files (x86) folder.
I thought of reinstalling the software to hopefully get it to install successfully, but this doesn't work because when I run the installer it finds that PowerChute Personal is already installed (although it doesn't realise that it isn't installed properly) so it refuses to install.
What can I do to uninstall the software?
Thanks.

Thanks for your help, Larry.
The Microsoft tool couldn't find PowerChute - I guess it wasn't installed 'enough' for it to find it.
This meant I had to find the product ID to enter it into the tool manually so I searched and one of the top results was the page below - APC's own instructions on how to manually uninstall PowerChute Personal. I guess installations / uninstallations must fail quite a bit so they wrote an article on how to fix it...
The issue is resolved now as running the installer now no longer causes it to fail claiming that it is already installed and PowerChute Personal no longer appears in the list of software to uninstall in the Windows Settings app.

Best suggestion is to use this (instead of a well-known third-party product): https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-instal...
Download, launch, and instruct it to help with uninstall. It should find the PowerChute software. If not, you'll have to ask for additional help with the MSI value.
