I have tried to remove PowerChute Personal Edition in Windows 7 32bit. Followed instructions for manual removal. Cannot find any entry in Program Files or Registry for APC. Still getting error 3753 when trying to uninstall. Is there any other method for removal. I would like to do a clean installation from the download program.

Hi Angela,
I followed the instructions from the link. My problem is that the entries and registry keys that need to be removed are already gone. There are no files for APC in Program Files. There are no keys in registry for APC, but I still cannot uninstall or install PowerChute.

Can you re-install it, or does it fail because it think's it's already there?
I should mention that when I uninstalled it on my computer, it didn't fully clean out the PnP info and the basic Windows power icon wouldn't show and couldn't be enabled. I had to go to Device Manager, find the 'APC UPS' entry under battery, then delete it WITH the option to remove drivers also checked. When I unplugged/replugged the USB cable, Windows detected it as the generic HID USB Battery and the power icon was restored.
