Unable to power new UPS devices on

Hi,

We have recently purchased 2 x Smart-UPS RT10000 and 1 x Smart-UPS RT7500 and all devices are experiencing the same problem.

Electricians have verified that there is power going to all 3 units, however there is no visual indication on the front of the devices and nothing happens when we try to power them on or perform a self-diagnosis. (Yes, the unit is switched on at the back!)

Have performed the brain-dead routine, but to no avail. APC said they will get back to me "within 2 working days", but that's not ideal as we're overloading our current circuits and had to temporarily run the entire server room off 13amp plugs and extension cords!!

All units have been charging, with no output load for around 30 hours now.

Anybody come across this before?

If you'd post the serial #, it will give me (and APC official support posters) a good idea of when the UPS was made. If the battery sits around over six months or so (depending on temperature and level of charge) without any supplementary charge, such as being a dead stock too long, they can fail.

If the battery is partially depleted when it was put out of use/stored, battery can be fried in as short as a month.
