Hello all, first post on this forum so please be gentle.
I have 2 Smart-ups 1400s that I need to configure. Long ago I had Powerchute Business Edition (Ver ?) installed. For some reason that escapes me, I uninstalled it. The UPSs have been happily running since. I now need to re-install the software to loosen the transfer parameters to (hopefully) allow these units to remain on-line with generator power. Of course, I cannot locate the CD.
I have tried downloading from the APC web site numereous times, changed firewall settings, etc, but I cannot succeed. All looks well until I hit the "Download" button, then an "unable to display page" error. Same error on different PCs.
Am I doing something wrong? Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
LS

Good day Louis,
It happens to me as well, what I usually do is to refresh the page again or try a different PC. If you still cannot download PCBE, can you tell us what Operating System and the model of your UPS.

Thanks for the reply,
I've tried multiple PCs, Windows & Linux, Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome, no luck.
The units are both Smart-UPS 1400 Net. PCBE can be XP or Windows 7.
Ideas?
Thanks, LS

Got it! One thing all the PCs and browsers had in common was the firewall. Even though I thought it was disabled. (IPCop) Notebook directly to the cable modem took care of it.
Thanks for the help....
