hello,
for SNMP support, you'll need a UPS with a SmartSlot so you can install a network management card. Some UPS also come with a pre-installed network management card. our network management cards support SNMPv1 or v3 and support up to (6) trap receivers. Once you get a network management card, the steps to set up a trap receiver are pretty simple once you have a trap receiver or SNMP NMS set up on your network.

Generally speaking, our devices allow you to communicate over SNMP however you will still need to set it up on your side. What type of UPS are you using? Once we know this, we can point in the right direction on how to configure your APC ups.
