UPS turned off due to low batery

Hi All

I have a Smart-UPS RT10000 RM XL  which this morning shut down & 4 minutes latter started up again.

The Log shows:

9:00:10  UPS: The output power is turned off due to a low battery

9:00:12  UPS: The battery power is too low to support the load, if the power fails the UPS will be shut down immediately

9:00:14  UPS: The output power is now yurned om

It does a self check every two weeks, so last week the self test passed ok.

I've attached the full log as a pdf with voltages etc - which shows the capacity of the battery suddenly going down !

Very Weird

Power Config is set for a rated otput of 230Vac  / Bypass Upper 253 Vac / Bypass lower Voltage 161Vac

I saw someone else had a similar problem recently with a different model UPS.  (no resolution shown)

Message was edited by: Mike I've just added some more data for the last two weeks.  I initially thought it might have been triggered when power hit 240v but that's not the case looking at older data,    (240v is standard for NZ)

The pdf file "log for two weeks"  is attached.  The only other events in the general log was a scheduled self test the week before which was fine.

The UPS is still going - the battery lights show as charged, but it now fails a self test. (I waited over 12hrs before attempting this)

The red light is on above the battery icon. (see pic)

On Sunday when the fault occurred, I pulled the batteries & checked with a meter - they all had charge of 108v DC  so no battery array is obviously down.

The UPS did get grumpy with that & started reporting "The battery is not installed properly" followed a minute latter with

"The battery is now installed"

The Serial Number of the Unit is: S1022000551

The batteries were Installed 30/8/10

this error mean bad batteries  you have to replace your batteries and calibration UPS

life time for batteries is 3 to 5 years

thanks
