UPS not seen by agent

On: Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 / HP ML350 G6
Connected to: APC Smart-UPS SC 450VA 230V SC450RMI1U
Using COM1 (using supplied cable)

Any salient thoughts welcome!

Hi,

Is the UPS discovered automatically when running the installer? With a SC450 the Agent that is installed should be version 9.0.3. That Agent will be install properly when running the 9.2 installer if the software can communicate with the UPS. If you are manually selecting the UPS type  "Check for presence of UPS" fails the type should be DB9 not RJ45. If you select RJ45 the 9.2 Agent will be installed and will not communicate with the SC450.
