UPS: The output power is turned off

Had a Smart-UPS 1500 RM unit today that apparently just stopped sending power out. Just curious if this is a bug of some sort or if the unit has just gone bad?

yeah, it is hard to say. i'd keep an eye on it. as you said, there was nothing else in the log to indicate any other major issues going on.

can you get us the model and serial number from the back of the UPS? or at least the serial number? i am guessing this is an SUA1500RM2U. you can just give the first several digits of the serial number - QS0451 or whatever.

we'd all be guessing at what happened..serial number will tell us the age. we will have to keep on it. how did you turn it back on? button on the front or via NMC command? were any LEDs flashing on it - if anyone saw it when the power was off?

The first 7 of the SN is AS06441.
If the information on the device is correct, the batteries are from 2006.

I was still able to connect to the device and issued the restart command from UPS/Control.

Unfortunately we had a server down because of this (someone was dumb enough to plug both power cords into the same APC), so I needed to get the device up ASAP so I did not have time to have someone check the front of the unit for any lights.
