UPS: Lost the local network management interface-to-UPS communication. This is the last event on this device. I just noticed it after a firmware update performed today.
UPS Model: SYAF16KRMT
Symmetra LX
Any ideas?

hi, this means that the NMC cannot talk to the UPS for some reason. it looks like you have the correct symmetra application on there.
here are some steps i'd take.
1.) if you are local to the UPS, i'd reseat the NMC in the smart slot and check to see if it comes back. you could also try the NMC in the second, unused smart slot if available. you can skip step 2.
2.) if remote or even local, you can login to the NMC and go to the Administration tab ->General->Reset/Reboot->Reboot management interface to do a warm reboot. if you completed step #1, skip this step as i mentioned.
3.) if local, check the powerview LCD screen. is it working properly and reporting data correctly? if not, it may indicate a larger problem.
4.) try temporarily unplugging the powerview LCD screen from the intelligence module on the UPS (remove the cat 5 cable from the MIM to ensure it is not a bad pin disrupting traffic)
5.) just verify that in the web interface, under administration tab->General->About and make sure you see AOS 3.7.3 and APP says 'sy' 3.7.2. from your log files, i see that there but just want to make 100% sure thats what you see in the interface.
let's start here and see where we get. hope that helps. let us know if you have any other questions.

I got the same screen from a Smart-UPS 750 RM. we do not use any USB or serail cable , we just use anetwork moduel ap9618 or 9617 or 9619 in the smart card slot of the upS and manager it from our InfraStruXure manager. We go this messger many times in each day.
what cause this ?

can you please provide the same information the first user did? if its installed in a smart ups, send us your log files (event.txt and data.txt) via these instructions -> http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9321
it means the NMC cannot talk to the UPS.

This turned out to be a bad Intelligent Module. Moved the network cable to other Module and its reading now. Thanks.
