Hello World,
One of our customer came to our workshop with an IBM UPS.
The UPS seems to be an APC 10000RMXLI rebadged for IBM. May be the electronic is a little bit different.
The UPS is down: no lights no sound when power is on.
The UPS was not properly wired.
The Output was on the Input and the Input on Output.
What can have been damaged? what parts need to be replaced? the entire electronic cards?
Thanks
Samy

Have you tried swapping out spare batteries? These units will appear and act DOA without good batteries in them.

Hello,
Yes the output is single phase and we think that the UPS was single phase wired.
Even the cold start don't work!!
No fans starting at all!!! Absolutely nothing happens!! No lights no sound!!!
And it seems like there's only a few electronic cards so I think that repairing the electronica cerd will cost the entire UPS!
Thanks
Samy

I assume you mean a single phase SURT10000RMXLI? If this was the case the unit may not even be able to power itself on via utility power due to having the block or internal components on the input fried.
Can you turn the unit on via battery cold start? (Make sure no input power is going to the unit, and hold the on button until the unit beeps twice, then release. It should turn on.) Also, could you measure the DC voltage on the batteries (the plastic connectors have pins you can put the probes on)?
Do the fans on the unit start when you try to turn it on?
