Installed SRT2200 a little over 1 month ago. Every time it goes on battery I get a critical error: Bypass not in range; distorted waveform. Why am I getting this error message? Whats going on? I have attached log file.

Hi Suzanne,
That error message is normal for your UPS during a power failure.
Bypass means feeding power to your devices directly from the utility input and bypassing the UPS. When utility power is good, the UPS might do this if it detects a hardware problem with the UPS circuitry or if commanded to do so. During a power failure, the utility input is bad (bypass out of range) so the UPS will not go into bypass.

Most likely the power is on but not acceptable quality Therefore the UPS will not switch to bypass -- normal UPS operation is unaffected and will clean the power via double-conversion. Your options:
- You can discuss power quality with the power provider.
- You can rely on the UPS to clean the utility power and accept that the UPS will not go to bypass.
- You can accept the quality of the utility power and attempt to loosen the frequency tolerance in the UPS power settings. I don't have an SRT2200 in front me right now to see if it has this setting.
