We currently have multiple SMART-UPS-2200 UPS with Mangment cards. Many times when there is a power event my mailbox is inudated with emails. I was wonder if there was a way to send just a single SMS message based on the Severity of the alert instead of hundereds? Thank for any help

hi - do you know what model network management cards these are?
on AP9617/18/19 or AP9630/31, you can go to the Administration Tab->Notification->Event Action->By group or by event and do exactly what you want. Configure events by type (battery, diagnostics, power) or severity (informational, warning, critical), or even one by one.
you can then configure them as frequent or infrequent as you'd like. the default for most events is indeed every two minutes until the condition clears. the idea is that we rather tell you about the alert too much than not enough so that you can customize it the way you'd like.
