UPS 1500 Start from green-flash standby?

{color:#800000}*For the first time since I have this excellent unit (compared to my 1000 units), I decided to turn it off from mains source to save power when I went off on vacation (1 week).*

Came back, switched power on, and standby is flashing green.

Start-up button does nothing.

Tried test button, and nothing unusual.

This was 20 hours ago, so if recharging that should be enough.

So now what?{color}

*{color:#993366}On the font bezel - but I need to look for it. It has done the same as every other APC unit I have owned, and fallen off. (Whats with that "engineering" mystery/problem?)*

*Where else should I be looking? Or for what other markers?{color}*

Is it possible for you to take a picture of the entire unit itself, front, sides and rear? The model and serial number of your unit doesn't appear to be the one that APC is using.

Hi Rabbi,

Good day!

Do you have the exact model number of this unit?And can you send me the serial number(in private message - upper right side envelope image). Those information can be seen from a small sticker with barcode.

In that way, we would able to suggest you troubleshooting steps.

Thank you for using APC Discussion Forum!

{color:#339966}*This unit is the power of the tower, and at the base of the rack.*
It's dark down there and at 68 a bit of a problem to get down there.

I will if it so neccessary.

Could it be that the batteries are still charging? Would that prevent the start-up button from activating the equipment?{color}

Hi Rabby,

As of the moment i can't tell what's really going on with the UPS especially we don't have the exact model number yet. But our UPS doesn't give any indication that it's charging the battery. As long as the UPS is plugged to the wall, it should charge it's battery

Rabby,

The characters doesn't tell much about the model and serial number that Judy was asking for. Where did you got these numbers and letters?

Let us trying looking for a small white barcoded sticker. This is usually placed underneath the UPS, this is where you usually find the battery of the BackUPS.

Hi Rabby,

Does it have an APC logo anywhere on the UPS?

{color:#FF00FF}*Ok. I am somewhat embarrassed here.*
I did a web search for this model number and came up with hp/compaq results.

They are so similar that it is easy to make a mistake. Besides, I have a smart-ups1000 which is APC, yet nowhere could I find your logo (except on the roaming bezel.)

Thank you for your sincere efforts.

*(It appears that the problem may be the circuit of the start-button, because I found out it didn't function in the configure-mode either.)*{color}

For APC units, our logo are placed infront/bezel of the unit. If you would have problems with our unit you can contact us through APC forum, chat, e-mail and phone.

If it is indeed at HP/Compaq unit, you could probably reach out to them and seek help.
