Two PCBEs to one UPS via serial and USB cable?

Hello. Can there be any harm if we connect the same UPS to two PCs, one via serial and other via USB cable, and install PCBE on both? Thanks.

Hi,

What is the model Smart-UPS? Depending on the model it is possible but is not supported and will void the warranty. the reason it is not supported is because both PowerChute Agents will have control of the UPS and therefore could send differing commands simultaneously that over ride each other and cause unexpected behavior.

To connect two PC and use PowerChute Business Edition we offer a serial expansion card. Part number AP9624
