Optimal Configuration
Hi there.
We're using the PCNS vA (4.2) for 2 ESXi-Server. Everything is working fine, but I'm not sure about the best Shutdown-settings.
Runtime remaining is 25min (not very much). So, what are the best settings on the NMC and in the PCNS vA to not Shutdown the VMs (and Hosts) to early, but early enough for a graceful shutdown?
I think I need the settings for the Outletgroup on the NMC:
the settings for Shutdown on the NMC:
and the settings in the PCNS vA for the VM-Groups:
There are several Windows Server 2012 VMs (DC, Exchange, Fileserver and WSUS) and some Linux Server VMs. I think 5 min should be enough for all VMs to shutdown and 2-4mins for the ESXi-Servers.
Thanks in advance 🙂
PS: The PCNS vA is on one of the Hosts the PCNS vA is shutting down. So the PCNS vA is shutting down its own host and killing itself.. Is this a problem?
