To shutdown by script ?

Lo,

In the load of my UPS i have a switches : one from HP, one from Brocade.
Is it possible to send a command to these equipments to shut them down ?

What is the exact Model number of the UPS? you can find it on a white bar code sticker at the rear of the unit. Do you just want to cut the Power to these equipment on battery mode? Do you have any other equipment connected to the UPS in question?
