We are using the Powerchute Network Shutdown with the network management cards with Environmental monitoring, specifically thermal and humidity.
We simply would like the system to notify us(via email) when it gets to 35 degrees, and then shutdown automatically if it hits 45 degrees. This would give us time to respond to a faulty air conditioning unit etc..
Everything is working well for the shutdown scripts, but we can't seem to trigger an email for any of the thresholds other than MIN/MAX. The problem is not the smtp settings or anything, it's that the Network Client system doesn't seem to allow us to react to a LOW/HIGH temperature threshold, only MIN/MAX.
Question: We can see the varying thresholds, but how can we setup actions for each of them(other than just min/max), monitoring from the central Network client?

powerchute network shutdown can only shut down based on ANY violation. you cannot really specify unfortunately.
but before i figure something out here to see if we can workaround it to do what you want, can you provide me the config.ini and event.txt from your network management card for review. refer to [these instructions|http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9321] to download the files.
thanks!
