In search of a qualified APC Smart-UPS repair technician in or near Boulder, CO.  We have four SUA1500 units and one SMT1500 that need diagnostics and repair (if worth the cost.)

Hi Scott,

While our field service personnel is usually available for diagnosing and servicing APC UPS products, Schneider Electric does not support component level repairs for single phase Smart-UPS models such as the SUA or SMT series. The only field replaceable component in single phase Smart-UPS systems are typically the batteries, or, at most, other cosmetic parts such as stabilizing feet or front panel. 

I recommend contacting your local APC tech support to perform some basic checks and troubleshooting on these UPS units, to understand whether a battery replacement, or a UPS replacement, potentially through our Trade-UPS program, is recommended at this point.

Thanks for your reply.  But these units are not under warranty, thus my request still stands.  I have heard that APC Smart-UPS devices have a reputation for lasting a long time, so I'm wanting a person with experience to take a look at these to determine what might be repairable.  None of them have a burnt smell or experienced any trauma.  The batteries have been recently replaced, so I doubt that's the issue.

We do not offer on site repair for single phase product. They are not considered to be field serviceable. https://coasttec.com/ does offer an out of warranty repair and return service for these units. They are an authorized service provider.
