Hey folks,
Our usual guy who handles our UPS systems is vacationing on another continent, and this morning we come in and see that one of our three Symmetra RM units is unhappy: it's emitting a constant beep, all the lights on the front panel are lit up, and the LCD screen is entirely filled with black squares. Oddly enough, everything connected to it seems to be fine. Is there a way we can power-cycle the front panel without shutting off the UPS or the mains power? Maybe by flipping the input circuit breaker switch? I've combed through the manual and there doesn't seem to be any troubleshooting info related to this condition. Thanks much!

Sounds like a PowerView. There should be a CAT5 cable going from the PowerView to the UPS... you may have to remove the front bezel to get at it. Just unplug it and plug it back in.

Voidstar, that was it exactly! Thanks a lot. Now it looks like I have a base fan fault, but hey, at least I'm getting some output from the screen.
