Hello I had to replace my 9631 NMC on my Symmetra a few weeks ago. I've installed the card but it won't connect to the UPS or it's temp probes. I've rebooted, upgraded to the lastest firmware, reseated the card. All the primary tabs show Lost connection to the UPS.

Sorry. We are looking to rev that in the next utility version to notify of downgrade but allow the user to bypass.
But have no fear, this is easy enough. In order to downgrade your AP9631 method now, you just need to use any other method besides the wizard (FTP, SCP, XMODEM, etc). They are all outlined in the knowledge base (FAQ) in article ID FA156047. Refer to any of the methods for Network Management Card 2.
Unfortunately, because you updated to 6.0.6 and now have to go back to 5.1.6 AOS, please review FA167693. Now, if this is a brand new card, you shouldn't have much to worry about as far as settings but if its not, definitely back up your config.ini file so you can reload it later. Let me know if you have any questions before you proceed. The gist of the article is when you're downgrading between 6.0.X and 5.1.X, we cannot ensure the integrity of settings, data, etc (even though I've done it and its been fine) because everything is so different.

Hello,
The sy application is for single phase symmetra only (which is what I see in the application info in your screenshot). You need the sy3p application for symmetra 3 phase for a PX 40. You can just download that sy3p application executable off the website and re-flash it the same way you upgraded this one and it should be fine and communicate with your UPS.

Thank you. Of course now the firmware is failing as it's a lower verison on the 3phase. So it fails to run, downgrad not allowed: 606-->516 Tried to do just the sy3p.bin file and it didn't like that either, lol. I guess I need to downgrade the entire card?
