Hi!
I've got a Symmetra PX 16kW UPS and Automatic Fire Extinguish System in server room. After signal from Fire System, all InRow coolers are going to standby mode. After that there is a danger of servers overheating. I've got an idea to connect Fire System to UPS. I know it's possible thru EPO Control in UPS but it is an emergency power off without any delay. I'm wondering is it possible to somehow connect Fire System to UPS and send an Powerchute signal to servers after fire alarm? Thx for any suggestions.

maybe i missed something but if the EPO signal is sent to the UPS, it will be sent an immediate signal to shutdown, and thus drop the load and not have time to send a signal to any of the powerchute clients since that is how the EPO works because of fire code.
i guess what else you could be referring to is connecting the EPO to a dry contacts management accessory which probably wouldnt pass any local codes or anything but would probably be feasible to trigger a shutdown. we'd need a network management card with dry contacts (AP9631+AP9810) or AP9610 or AP9619 if you have one already and powerchute network shutdown.
