I am surprised how difficult it is to get simple information on these units.
I have a Symmetra LX 8000 with 2 additional XR modules. One if the batteries is dead. C3 01. It is in the XR 2, but which one? Which battery is 01? No chart anywhere on the frame or internet that I can find. Contacted APC support with our extended warranty, Useless...... So How do I silence the alarm? how to do I identify the bad battery.
The support looked at it and got the raw data and said it was all fine.. But it is not. The fault light is on and the alarm is going off non stop (WHERE IS THE MUTE!) and the report shows a single bad battery in the XR2. I have removed 6 of them and they alarm stays one. Will it turn off right away when I remote the bad one or will it take time to 'notice'?
Any real help would be appreciated.
Jason

Hi Jason
Here's a diagram showing the Battery module identification and which Intelligence module monitors them.
If you remove the offending one it should be noticed straight away, if it doesn't I would try a self test.
So C3 01 would be the 1st XR frame and the centre module on the 3rd row

That worked perfectly! I now know what to replace and have silenced the incessant beeping in that building!
