Symmetra 80k Total Amps vs. Amps per phase

I have a 200 amp breaker going to my Symmetra 80k. It is 3 phase (idk if they are all 3 phase). Is that 200 amps per phase or 200 amps total across the 3 phases? The UPS is currently showing 216 amps on the display.

Thanks, Chris

200 Amps per phase.

In a previous email you stated that you have a Symmetra PX80 with 60KW of power modules installed. What configuration do you have?

Does the Symmetra have a PDU with a Transformer 480/208? 208/208? or is it transformerless?

The reason I ask is because the recommended breaker size for an 80KW Symmetra 208V is 350A or Symmetra w 480/208 Xfmer PDU is 150A.

I'd guess you have no PDU or 208/208xfmr or PDU no XMFR because you have a 200A breaker which if they only sized for max 60KW of load would be a total of 166A so a 175 or 200A breaker would have been installed.

Saying that if you wanted to ever expand to 80kw you may need to upsize your breaker and conductor size. This is assuming you have the capacity to do so.

I believe you need to get an electrical engineer involved with your expansion to ensure you have the proper feeder and UPS capacity. This forum isn't an ideal arena for advice for this because of the variables involved which an experience engineer needs to be aware of.

symmetra unit with 3phases in and 3 phases out (electrical configuration), should display each amps consumed by load separately on phases l1,l2,l3, you can refer to the product manual on the apc site.
in general unit with 3 phases in and 1 phase out, display the total amps out consumed by the load, to configure the amps consumed by each phase you should divide
total amps out by 3.
