Hello,
i have a smart UPS, have configured the outlet-groups, but they don't switch off at all.
That UPS has no PowerChute or Network-shutdown -client connected.
Due to location it is only a supply for a Qnap-NAS , telefone router switch and so on.
Is it possible to have outlets switched as setup in the display in case of an outage? (without powerchute connected)
(Smart-UPS SMT-1000iC)
thx.

Hi Bill,
The Load shedding was exactly my problem.
Once checked and set up, things are working as planned.
Thank you very very much.
Earlier I called support on this matter, and they could not help...
"please install original software, without software it don't work" 😞
So now i am glad to have the solution.
Thx,
and have a nice evening.

Yes. From the LCD panel go to Configuration, and set to Advanced. The from within the Advanced Configuration menu using the up or down arrow and scroll to Main Outlet Group, load Shedding. Enable load shedding then configure either time on battery or runtime remaining. If you configure time on battery the UPS will run on battery for x time then power off. If you configure runtime remaining the UPS will run on battery until the runtime falls below x and then power off. You can also set an individual shutdown time for Outlet Group 1.
See pages 19 and 20 of the attached user's guide.

Hello Bill,
i have read the manual carefully, but wasn't able to find the problem.
Attached you can find a combined screenshot of my setup. (Viewed with nmc)
In case of outage nothing switches off or on (after) within the timings.
I need the timings basically for switching off and switching on with delay!
I want to have a delay at least 30 seconds (Main) and 60 seconds (Group 1) to be sure ,
that power is stable on again. (Maybe even longer)
Thx

Hi,
You needed to configure the load shedding settings to trigger the shutdown. Once shutdown has occurred when AC is restored the power on delay will be honored.
Example: click on the load shedding power fail lasts longer than. Then set the delay to 600 seconds. When the UPS has been running on battery for 10 minute the shutdown process will start.
NOTE: The 600 second power off delay for the main group will not begin until the 360 second delay has completed for group one. So, the actual power off delay for the main is 16 minutes.
