Hello everyone,
an easy question for you, i think so.
What does the Status: BOOST ONLINE mean?
When apperas it? What are the reasons for it?
My Model ist the Smart-UPS SC450 RM.
Im from germany an there aren't good documentations about the products from the APC company.

hello,
this means your UPS is boosting the voltage (using automatic voltage regulation). most likely, your incoming voltage is a bit low and the UPS is boosting it by a certain percentage so it is more acceptable for your attached equipment.
as noted in one of our knowledge bases: Instead of going to battery during low or high input voltages, the unit will increase or reduce the voltage to a safe operating range without running on the battery. The main advantage of this is that it helps to prolong the battery life.

Some UPS's have a feature called "Automatic Voltage Regulation", or AVR. This means that if the input voltage goes above or below its acceptable range, it will boost or trim the voltage to compensate. If it goes further outside of the AVR range then the UPS would go on battery. Normally, these ranges can be found in the user manual of the UPS.
