Recently had a warmstart of the Network Management Card in a Symmetra PX system with the log showing the event of "Restarting. Stack overrun - Task 58.Stack overrun." I've been unable to find any documentation that explains that specific condition. Can anyone point me to said documentation or just give me a brief explanation and whether or not it is something I should worry about. It is the first time I have seen this particular cause for a warmstart.

Hello,
I would attempt to re-flash the firmware and closely monitor the card. What version of the FW is currently on there? Sometimes stack failures are recoverable, so monitor it first. It's essentially a memory dump of the NMC, and most times it retains all of its settings.

It is running the latest firmware for that device (3.3.1/3.3.4), had just flashed it to that level a few weeks ago. None of the settings were lost, everything looks good on it. Just had a notification in my Inbox this morning of the warmstart and that was the event log entry.

Hello,
Does the error seem to happen at the same time each night? Is there anything occuring on your network at the time of the error, such as data back up or upgrades of any kind?
What is listed in the event log before and after the message? Are you uploading any files to the Network Card at any time?

Hello,
Are you using SNMP v 1 or v3 on your Symmetra? If so, what are you using for an NMS?
Are you still at 334 firmware?
