Hello All,
I am using SmartUPS SUA1500i with network management card 9617 connected
to the network. It was running with stock APC 12V 7AH internal
batteries which went dry recently.
I have now hooked up two new LEOCH 12V 38AH external batteries to it,
using the power connecter extender cable. Have changed the last battery
change date in the web interface of UPS.
I had left the UPS with no load attached for charging for around 48 hours. The battery charge now shows 100%.
Now when I have connected the load to the UPS which is around 30% of the capacity, the battery LED (which are lit all 5) have started flashing. The UPS from the web interface shows a run time of only 14 minutes (which should be around or more than 2 hours). I have read numerous threads without a conclusive answer as to why are the battery lights flashing at once.
The web interface also shows the following message just after the load is connected :
*{color:#ff0000}*
*The battery power is too low to support the load; if power fails, the UPS will be shut down immediately.{color}*
This is kind of confusing for me since the batteries are new and 100% charged. What could be the reason and how to fix this behaviour. I have tried the UPS brain dead procedure and well I am off to trying the "Run Time Calibration" perfomed via the Web Interface.
So is running a calibration the solution or do I have to get the calibration key as mentioned on some of the posts, which itself seems a length process to initiate.
Thanks for your expert opinions.

Here is an APC Knowledge Base that would give you an idea about the flashing battery bar graphs > http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1497/kw/flashing%20bbg

Have used APC-FIX.exe with serial cable 940-0024D to get the battery constant auto fixed. The flashing LED problem is now solved. Also have to fix the external battery packs value in the web interface to get the correct runtime.

Thanks but I have seen the article to apply all these fixes without any remedy.
