I have a "new to me" AP9617 attached to a "new to me" SU700NET. I was able to Telnet into the AP9617 (using a homemade serial cable I might add) and reset the IP. However, the ip address i assigned only works for 10-15 minutes and then I can no longer access it by using XXX-XXX-0-112 in my browser. (By the way, it took me a while to figure out the reset button only buys you enough time to get in and work on the config. I just recently found out you need to change the user name and password while inside as well).
I have also done the "reset everything but the tcip config" and that didnt help. Should i do the "reset all"? I can always redo the tcip settings i suppose. Should i set the config for DHCP? It is set for Manual now. Is there a way to completely wipe the card to factory defaults?
I have another unit with another card that is on XXX-XXX-0-155 and it works fine and has so since i installed it months ago. However, I'm not sure both AP9617s are using the same firmware.
thx
carl
