SmartUPS SMT1500i and bad power factor

Hello,
the SMT1500i has a really low power factor, 1500VA/1kW, around 0.6 power factor.

Am I wrong or this expensive units should be premium one?
Why such a bad power factor?

Nope, I quite like the APC product along side other smaller UPS I have experience with (small being <= 30KVA), I just felt like arguing as it's Saturday night (and according to Elton, Saturday Night's alright for fighting).

I just can't argue with you further as you have zero information to argue against. Expectations don't really count as facts or data I'm afraid.

Have a good weekend though, it sounds like you need a break.

The answer to your question depends entirely on what and how you are measuring the power factor.

But the real answer is that with two 12V/18A battery it can do only 980W while other UPS like the Cyberpower Pr1500ELCD with same batteries is capable of 1350W with even a greater runtime.

Ahh, I see. You aren't actually measuring anything. You are just complaining about a specification.

No need to measure anything, APC done it with their bad specs at only 1500/VA 980W and with that runtime

Ahh, ok sorry. I thought you had an actual issue with real hardware, numbers and data rather than having googled a specification sheet and then complained you don't like it. Carry on.

Are you some sort of fanboy who defend APC for no real reason apart being a fanboy?

APC is the most expansive brand on the market, I expect only oremium products and not products with such a bad power factory at such big price.
