I keep getting a battery over temperature alarm that usually clears an hour later. I checked each battery and the last two in the rack are warmer than all the others. I replaced these two batteries thinking they might be going bad. About 3 hours after putting in the new batteries I got the alarm again and it cleared a few hours later. During this time there has been no increased temperature in the room. The unit passes its self test each week. BTW, both batteries have to be inserted into the unit before I get an alarm the the "number of batteries increased." I pulled the logs showing the temps and when the alarms occured.

Hi,
The battery temp on that unit is sensed on the battery backplane board. If the issue is not the battery, then the backplanes may need to be replaced, there is no knowing which of the 8 boards may be experiencing an issue. You call tech support for help troubleshooting. In the U.S. support is available Monday - Friday 8 AM to 8 PM Eastern and 7 x 24 365 with a service contract for 3 phase UPS.
