Can Smart UPS provide the power to the load when it is off or in fault?

Hi

The Smart UPS online have a bypass feature, so as long as utility power is ok then it can provide power if the UPS has issues.

The Smart UPS are a line interactive topology and do not have a bypass feature, so will not provide power if the UPS has an issue.

When the Smart UPS online is in shutdown state, can the utility power pass through it to the load ?

Hi Rico

If there is utility power to the UPS then it is functioning, the output can be switched off but the UPS will be on, so there isn't really a shutdown state when utility power is present.
