Smart UPS - SUVTP10kH2B2S UPS: In bypass in response to an internal hardware fault

Hello All,

We have 2 UPS in parallel configuration on a location. Recently both the UPS just shutdown itself as well as the load, however just before the shutdown following alerts were received from UPS. we had 2 instances of UPS complete shutdown within 36 hours.

Device UPS: The external Switch Gear Q004 has opened.
Device UPS: The output power is turned off.
Device UPS: In bypass in response to an internal hardware fault.
Device UPS: Return from bypass, internal hardware fault no longer present.
Device UPS: In bypass in response to an internal hardware fault.

On First Instance found as below;

UPS was totally Shutdown & No Display.

The MCB supplying mains input power to UPS were tripped.

On Second Instance

UPS was totally Shutdown & No Display.

We would like to have your expertise for the below queries;

• What are the reason for UPS to generate an internal hardware fault.
• Why did the UPS Shutdown completely.
• What had caused the MCB to trip.
• Though the battery were still within the UPS, why didn’t UPS go on battery power rather than shutting down.
