I just bought a Smart-UPS (SUA1500) and I have charged the unit for over 24 hours.
I have a PC, a 20" monitor, a regular HP printer, and a 5.1 speaker system connected to this new UPS.
I have installed the Powerchute software (basic business edition that comes with the unit) version 7.0.5. The software shows that the internal temperature is 77 degrees, voltage input and output are 120VAC, battery voltage is 27.67VDC, battery capacity is 100%.
The fans run when I power the Smart-UPS on to use my computer and remain running even when I power the Smart-UPS off.
What do I need to configure to shut the fans off when I power the unit off?

Hello,
Here are the four reasons that the SUA1500 will turn on its internal fan
1. The UPS is on battery. (Does it ever switch to battery or does it stay online all the time? You might want to check the event log in Powerchute to see if there are any on battery or smart trim events.)
2. The UPS is charging the battery. (You already said its 100%)
3. The UPS has a load greater than 75%. (You described the load but what does the actual UPS report as a load %)
4. The internal temperature of the UPS has reached greater than 104 degrees F (40 degrees C) (As you said, its 77 degrees(.
Where is the UPS being stored? How much space does it have around the unit? What is the incoming line voltage?
