Smart-UPS SU750VA blinking leds & PowerChute problem

Dear all,

I own an older SU750VA (2007) for several years now. Last time the batteries failed I didn't buy new ones for almost 1,5 years. I ordered and received Genesis batteries (12v 7Ah) and installed them without problem.

After installation, I waited ~12 hours for the batteries to recharge. Then put around 50% load on it and depleted the batteries as long as the UPS turned off itself. Reconnected it to the power outlet and (in turned off state) let it recharge for another 12 hours.

In the next morning, I attached all of my devices to UPS and started using it. After a few minutes the leds on the right started blinking in unison. This was the time when I found this article on your website: http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA156538/

Option 3: Started with this.

Option 1: I couldn't find this exact option. I tried to modify some settings about the power management, but nothing made a breakthru.

Option 2: Yesterday, PowerChute panicked and sent me notifications about:

- Insufficient Runtime Available,

- Shutdown Sequence Conf. Needed,

- Discharged Battery.

Furthermore, it says: battery discharged, runtime remaining: 0 mins, UPS Calibration completed, Selft-Test Unknown. I did a self-test yesterday, it was going on for hours, but I got tired when it finished and PowerChute was "Querying..." for 2 more hours so cancelled it. Today I turned on the computer and all the warnings were gone, battery's state was good, no problems occured. Then 20 mins lapsed and I've got all the warnings again. I blame the outdated program for this.

When no devices turned on, all the right leds are on, but don't flash. As soon as I turn my PC on, they start flashing.

I found no answer anywhere. Can you please tell me any advice? What's the problem? The usual load on UPS is around 50-70%.

FMY I'm going to pull the plug out and test the real runtime of the UPS. It just came into my mind now...

Thank you!

PS: I let my devices to run on batteries for 4 minutes before I plugged the UPS back to the socket. So the calculated runtime was wrong. I think I failed at resetting its memory. What do you think?
