Smart-UPS SRT 5000 Outlet Group Alarm

Hi

We have a Smart-UPS SRT 5000 and connected to this is an APC switched PDU.

For security purposes, we switch off all power outlets which aren't in use, and this includes the Outlet Group 1 on the UPS itself.

When I switch this group off, I get an alarm on the UPS which I can't clear or remove.

Is it possible to stop this showing as an alarm so that this alarm isn't showing in DCE?

Matt

Hi Matt -

What is the alarm you are receiving? Do you only turn off Outlet Group 1? Where and how are you trying to clear this alarm?

Hi Liam

Unfortunately the card in that device has died this morning so I can't get the exact warning, but it was shown on the homepage for the NMC (APC9631) in yellow and was something like "Outlet Group 1 is turned off".

I looked through all the settings on the NMC and saw no way to stop the device from alerting for this.

Thanks

Hi Matt,

You can clear the UPS alarm through the display of the UPS. Please scroll through the display to get into Menu-->control-->Clear alarm. For your reference here is the user manual. Refer page 16 "Configuration menu overviews"
