Smart-UPS SRT 10000 switch off with error message

Good day,

We are having an issue with our UPS(Smart-UPS SRT 10000) where it would just switch off.

We have installed a new generator last week and since then UPS is giving issues. We have had electricians out and they have confirmed that the voltages are correct on the main power and generator.

What happens is: main power switches off > UPS goes on battery mode > Generator switches on > UPS no longer on battery and is receiving power from generator > Main power returns > UPS switches off with error message. All servers switches off immediately.

I have attached the exported log file for that date and current UPS power settings.

Please assist as this is causing loss of work and potential server damage.

Hi Tial,

Depending what firmware revision your SRT UPS is currently on, the first thing I would recommend is to upgrade to the latest UPS firmware (unless the UPS is already on this). The latest SRT 10kVA UPS improved system behaviour for three phase input configurations and system handling for certain AC input conditions. You can find the firmware files and guide in this Kbase article.

If the UPS behavior does not improve after the firmware upgrade, please download the complete log archive from the UPS web interface > About > Support > Generate Logs > Download, and contact your local APC tech support for further troubleshooting.
