Recently I purchased APC Smart-UPS SMT2200
There was a question about the strange work of the fan.
I turned off the UPS with the power button. The LCD screen goes out, but the fan does not turn off. Has pulled out a plug from the electric system, the fan continues to work!
I waited more than 90 seconds, since in the PowerChuite setting, all UPS outlets are completely disconnected after 90 seconds, all also, fan continues to work!
Firmware latest UPS 09.4. Date of manufacture of batteries 01.08.2017. The battery temperature is about 27 °C.
Should the fan run after shutting down the UPS or not? Please Help! In other respects, the UPS does not have any complaints.

Hi Mark -
This is normal behavior. The fans will eventually stop spinning when the UPS goes "braindead" after completeing a shutdown, but this will take several minutes after the completion of the shutdown. If you need to stop the fans manually you can disconnect the battery with the UPS turned off and disconnected from input power.
thanks
Liam

This isn't true, I shutdown hours ago and the fan is still going.
