Is there a way to restore all settings on a Smart-UPS (SU1000INET) to factory defaults without connecting it to a computer?
Thanks.

Thanks for that. Yes, it is the UPS itself I wish to reset.
Mainly, the "Minimum Capacity Before Return from Standby" has been configured and I wish to reset this back to 0, but I don't know what other settings have been altered so I just want to reset everything back to default.
I understand the serial port on the back of the UPS is wired in a non-standard way, so a standard RS232 serial cable will not work, and I have lost the original cable a long time ago.

You could always buy another cable. They're available on the website, part # [940-0024|http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=940-0024], or from any reseller.

I could, but I don't really see why I should pay all that money for a bit of wire with two connectors on the end, just because they've wired the connectors in a non-standard way. I'll buy a standard serial cable for a few pennies and rewire it.
