Our power went out due to storms. Generator kicked in. I've received 142 msgs fromr 6:30 pm - 12 pm. Electric is still out and power generator did kick in. NOt sure what to do or if this is going to cause more problems with my equipment. These are the msgs that we keep receiving over and over.

Hi Carol,
I hope you're doing OK in the storms, they made the national news!
I believe you don't need to worry about these messages under these conditions. The UPS should be performing it's intended function without a problem! The more significant one is "... prevents switching to bypass mode". You said "power generator did kick in", so I assume you mean the generator is powering the UPS now. These messages are trying to tell you the UPS is not altogether happy with the generator power, and if the UPS had an internal fault, or became overloaded, it would shutdown the output, thus dropping any connected loads, rather than passing "raw" generator power to the load with the potential to damage the connected equipment caused by the perceived "bad" generator power. It is possible that some of the UPS / Configuration / Power settings accessible through the NMC could reduce or eliminate these messages by widening the range of voltage or frequency the UPS will accept from the generator. I'm not familiar with the precise meaning of "phase sychronization fault", or any other settings you may be able to access, but since it seems to come and go, I would guess it's related to a speed regulation issue with the generator. Also, I'm running an older generation Network card (AP9619), so if you have the current gen NMC, you may have different settings than I have mentioned.
In short-- if these are the only message you're getting-- relax, the UPS should be fine!
