Have a 2 Smart-UPS 1500s that are about 3 weeks old. Last night 1 decided it didn't want to work anymore, I guess. Right now when I turn it on/plug it in there is a steady audible alarm and no lights. On the back, the only light on in the sensitivity light. Any ideas as to what might be going on? The other UPS is just fine.
Thanks in advance,
Hit

Welcome to the APC Forum Hitmanwa.
If they are the same UPS model, try to swap the internal batteries and try to turn on the UPS. If this would not work unplug the said UPS from the wall outlet and then press the "O" button for about 5 seconds, you will hear a click or the LEDs would flash. While the UPS is unplugged press and hold the "I/Test" button, the UPS will emit a short and a long beep you will need to release the "I/Test" button once you hear the long beep.
I would suggest that you contact the APC Customer Care Center at 1.800.800.4272 for further troubleshooting and possible replacement if the UPSs are in warranty.

Hit,
Make sure that the battery connector is attached firmly.
Make sure that the unit receives normal AC power from the wall.
Try pressing and holding the Power on/Test button until you hear two beeps and see if the unit powers on.You may also try swapping the batteries from the working unit to determine if the issue lies with the battery or the unit.
If these steps do not work, then I recommend you to call in the APC Customer Care Center at 1-800-800-4272 or Live chat support/email support for further troubleshooting.
