Smart-UPS Modular Ultra 20kW no longer detects battery modules. The UPS was working fine. No changes were made to the UPS configuration. Suddenly the UPS is showing an error message "Invalid Configuration - not operational battery modules installed".
UPS Model : SRYLF20KRMT
Batty frame X2: SRYLFXBPRM4
The UPS has 4 power modules and 8 battery modules in total. Two battery modules are inserted into UPS frame and the rest of 6 battery modules are inserted into the XBP battery frame one and two.
Rebooting the UPS did not fix the problem.

From personal experience it can be a corrupted IC in the battery pack or change in settings. I’d start by confirming all settings are correct and reviewing the error logs prior, during, and after the fault.
Specifically what the line quality was at that time. This would be a good time to validate all connections are sound and no corrosion is present.
Remove one of the packs and measure the voltage. If any pack is out of specification replace and see what the results are.
Swapping packs within the system is something you could test to see if the behaviour changes.
Grounding: Insure all grounding for the system is present, tested, validated! ☝️
Bypass: If there is a bypass available enable this feature and observe what happens when it’s toggled on / off.

I fixed the problem by shutting down the UPS and inserting the battery modules one by one.
