Smart UPS DLA1500 Battery Charge lights flashing

We've had this DLA1500 for years and just put a new RBC7 in it (ordered straight from APC's website). The "On-Line" light is lit and the bottom of the five "Load" lights is lit, while all five of the "Battery Charge" lights are blinking every second or so. We've had the new battery in for 2-3 days now with this behavior.

We can't seem to find any documentation describing this with the RBC or the UPS itself, and the only other support we've found online didn't list DLA as a supported model. Any ideas?

A DLA unit is the same pretty much as an "SUA" unit.
