Smart UPS 620 over USB

I've got a Smart UPS 620, and a new motherboard that doesn't have a DB9F serial port.

Is there a way to connect the Smart UPS using USB? I'm using upsd on linux.

I presume that your UPS model number is SC620. As far as I know, there is no official Serial Cable to USB cable which is recommended for this unit. However, the 940-0272 cable may work with this unit. The 940-0272 is a Serial to USB converter cable. I can not guarantee you whether the 940-0272 cable will work with this unit or not, because I have not tested it yet. Click on the below link to view the picture.
