This is a new unit. When bringing the unit up and placing online everything appears normal. After some amount of time (>6 hours), the appears to go into auto shutdown. The front of the display shows the following six LED's flashing simultaneously:
AVR Trim--Amber
On Line--Green
AVR Boost--Amber
Overload--Red
On Battery--Amber
Repalce Battery--Red
There is no output from the receptacles in the back of the unit. The batteries show a full charge as indicated by a voltmeter. This unit has an external battery pack (APC SUA 48XLBP) and does this with the battery pack either connected or not connected (internal batteries only).
I don't have power chute to look up any codes.
What have I got here?
Thanks!

You have already posted this question multiple times..no need to post it numerous times please. If you need immediate support, you can always reach out to your local technical support contacts via http://www.apc.com/support/contact/index.cfm
As far as what you asked, I can't quite understand it unfortunately.
What does "but to cut the electrical supply the full charge indicator LEDs very quickly down to minimum" mean? Could you please reword it? I am thinking maybe it means that with your 4 batteries require replacement, the battery charge drops quickly? If the batteries are faulty and need replacing, this could happen. If the batteries are new, you'd want to make sure they've been charging for several hours before trying to do anything.
If the center 6 LEDs are flashing, this typically indicates an Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) relay weld and likely comes when AVR operation happens. If the relay is welded, the unit may require repair, if available in your region, or replacement.

How long have those batteries been charging without any touching? Make sure at least 24 hours to really verify if a problem or not. And how much load is attached to the UPS? (you can check the far left graph and see how many LEDs are lit)
Lastly, are these genuine APC replacement batteries or third party? Is there any date code on the batteries to verify they are not too old or have been sitting?

hello everyone ,
i have the same problem with my ups but i have no warranty .
Angela N. what do you mean by avr relay weld , do you mean it is defective or the
soldering is defective , i can change the relay if you have info on what relay to change
in the circuit.

I mean the relay is welded and these are not intended to be user serviceable so proceed at your own risk. If you have this condition, the recommendation is to replace the UPS one way or the other.

In all likelihood it might not be "just the relay(s)" that are at fault in these situations. Relays are engineered not to weld themselves under normal current / switching loads. However if the relay(s) were overloaded by a short circuit or overload downstream of the relay - eg a shorted winding in one of the transformers or some other output stage of the UPS faulty then they may arc/fuse. If you are bent on self-repair i'd recommend thoroughly going over the rest of the unit, lest you spend time and money on relays only to have them fuse the moment you stick them in.

@battman , thanks for your comment ,
- I have dismantled the unit.
- I have checked the relay contacts for normally closed and normally open contacts.
- The relay on a deenergized state are looking fine , however i cannot be sure if the normally close contacts are welded or not , only if i apply 24v to the relay , i can confirm that .
- Now the plan of action is to check the relay with a hot test to confirm all the contacts are working ,
Well i hope that it is only the relay problem as the unit is quite old , it says 2005 on the PCB.

Well to my utter disappointment , i have desoldered the relay and tested all the five relays , and they are working fine , but still i am changing them , i am also looking for some other faults in the circuit meanwhile.

the center 6 LEDs flashing indicate an AVR relay weld unfortunately. AVR relates to the automatic voltage regulation so if you are seeing this, then i'd recommend you contact APC for a warranty replacement and tell them this is what you see on the front panel. since its brand new, it will be covered under warranty when you provide the serial number.
