Smart UPS 3000VA Comms/Shut down
Hi Guys,
I have a Smart UPS 3000VA supporting 4 PCs/servers, all in the same workgroup. I am using Static IPs, no gateways or routers etc.
I would like to have the servers all run a controlled shutdown when the UPS kicks in. I can do this successfully on 1 machine using the Powerchute software and the comms lead running from the UPS to that 1 machine, but how will i get that 1 machine to get the other 3 machines to shut down?
Of course, the UPS can only be connected to 1 machine with the comms cable, so there must be a way to make that machine act as a master and send a signal out to the other 3 machines.
