Hi!
Got my hands on a 3000VA unit, the 2u rackmount one with black front 230V version. Problem is the batteries are gone and so is the tray, so i have no idea what voltage they should be rated at. I've got several 1400VA units that use four 7Ah batteries connected in serial/parralel for 24V output, but the 3000VA unit has a longer tray so i'm really not sure how many fit in and should be connected. Can anyone give me a hint on the battery pack voltage and capacity?
The other question regarding this matter is: how well APC upses handle bigger capacity batteries? I had positive expierience with other brand upses on this matter using gel batteries from solar up to 10x bigger then standard. Judging by naked eye APC transformers look solid and so does the cooling system which means they should handle constant load on batteries quite well.
Thanks

You need to post the exact UPS model # ( sticker on rear of UPS) before any of us can help you answer that first question....
