We are using the above device with two battery packs running 6 servers in one rack and the same setup in another rack
recently we had a power fluctuation of about 10 seconds which activated the "Power Failed" event in Powerchute business edition.
in the event actions it runs a shutdown script which then shutdown all the servers.
What would be ideal is if the power goes off for more than 5 minutes then run the script.
I looked at "remaining runtime" etc but we do not want the servers running for more than 5 or 10 minutes without power in the server room
because the AC is off at that point and the servers will overheat.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?
thanks

In your PCBE Agent under the "Events" --> "Actions" subsection, you should see an event labeled "Time on Battery Threshold Exceeded". By using this event you can tell the software to shut down the OS, run a command file, or both after X amount of time has passed being on battery.

~ Sigh, beat me again. π
Just out of curiosity, why do you have so many battery packs if you don't want things running on battery for more than 5-10m? Usually battery packs are added to gain additional runtime... Though every server room is different.

Perfect: "Time on Battery Threshold Exceeded". will work, thanks for pointing that out.
buzz : intially we did not anticipate the short amount of time it would take for the room to heat up so yes I agree the batterys we have setup is overkill
thanks again you guys!
