Smart UPS 2200 Killed output power after 'Power Correction Fault'.

Hi,

we just had the UPS kill the output power:

Snippet from events:

03/22/201303:16:30UPS: The output power is turned off.0x0114
03/22/201303:16:30UPS: The power for switched outlet group 3, Outlet Group 3, is now turned off.0x0135
03/22/201303:16:30UPS: The power for switched outlet group 2, TRON, WAN & Cor, is now turned off.0x0135
03/22/201303:16:30UPS: The power for switched outlet group 1, Core, ACC & ADVA, is now turned off.0x0135
03/22/201303:16:30UPS: A power factor correction fault exists.0x0161
03/22/201303:16:25UPS: No longer on battery power.0x010A
03/22/201303:16:24UPS: On battery power in response to distorted input.

0x0109

Why did the UPS immediately killed the output power instead of switching to battery?  And what can we do about this 'Power Factor Correction Fault'?

Thanks!

Hello,

Can you provide the exact model number of the UPS?  This can be found underneath the UPS and/or if you are using the newer LCD units you can retrieve it by navigating the screen.  Do you also have a network management card installed on the UPS and is it configured already?

Here is some more info on the device:

Model:Smart-UPS X 2200
Serial Number:IS1246002575
Firmware Revision:UPS 05.8 / MCU 05.8 / CBL 06.7 / UBL 05.0 (ID23)
Manufacture Date:11/06/2012

It does have a network management card in it.

We got the confirmation that we had a local power fluctuation/surge, but i don't get it why the UPS decided to suddenly kill the power to all power outlets...
